Welcome to SnuggyTales. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SnuggyTales website, mobile application, content, features, and related services (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully before using SnuggyTales.
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
These Terms govern your use of the SnuggyTales website at snuggytales.com, the SnuggyTales mobile application, and any content, features, or services made available through them. By downloading the app, accessing the website, creating an account, or otherwise using SnuggyTales, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and Parental Responsibility
SnuggyTales is designed to be a shared family experience. Accounts must be created and managed by adults, parents, or legal guardians, not by children on their own. If you create an account, you are representing that you are an adult with the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and any child who uses the Service with you.
As the account holder, you are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including any story customization details submitted, any subscription charges incurred, and any use of the app by your child while supervised by you. You are also responsible for deciding whether SnuggyTales, and any particular story it generates, is appropriate for your child. We encourage parents and guardians to be actively involved in reviewing and reading stories together with their children.
3. Accounts and Account Security
To use most features of SnuggyTales, you will need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, including your password.
- You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it, except where such activity results from our failure to maintain reasonable security.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, as described further in Section 15.
4. Free Stories and Subscription Access
New users may create their first three personalized stories for free. This free-story allowance is intended to let families try SnuggyTales before deciding whether to subscribe.
- The free-story allowance is limited to eligible new users and may not be repeatedly recreated by creating multiple accounts, using different email addresses, or otherwise attempting to circumvent the limit.
- Once your free stories have been used, continued access to story creation requires an active paid subscription.
- We may modify, expand, reduce, or discontinue the free-story offering for future new users at our discretion. We will not, however, misrepresent or reduce access that you have already paid for under an active subscription.
5. Subscription Billing and Automatic Renewal
After your free stories are used, continued access to SnuggyTales requires a subscription, currently priced at $4.99 per month unless a different price is clearly displayed to you before purchase. Applicable taxes may be added to this price depending on your location.
- Subscriptions automatically renew for successive monthly periods unless canceled before the next renewal date.
- All billing, payment processing, and renewal management for app-based subscriptions is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on the platform you use to download SnuggyTales. SnuggyTales does not directly process or store your payment card information.
- You must manage your subscription, including viewing renewal dates or updating payment methods, through your Apple ID account settings or your Google Play account settings, as applicable.
- Deleting the SnuggyTales app from your device, or deleting your SnuggyTales account, does not automatically cancel an active app-store subscription. You must cancel directly through Apple or Google to stop future billing.
- We may change subscription prices in the future. Where required by the applicable app store or by law, you will be notified of price changes in advance and given the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Canceling your subscription stops future automatic renewals but does not typically result in a prorated refund for the current billing period.
- After cancellation, you will generally continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current paid billing period.
- Refund requests are handled according to the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where your purchase was made. SnuggyTales does not control, and cannot guarantee the outcome of, refund requests processed by these third-party platforms.
7. AI-Generated Content
SnuggyTales uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized bedtime stories. These stories are created based on the names, interests, characters, settings, themes, and other preferences that parents or guardians submit through the app.
Because story generation relies on AI, occasionally a story may contain wording that is unexpected, inconsistent, imperfect, or not well suited to a particular child. We work to make SnuggyTales generate family-friendly, age-appropriate content, but we cannot guarantee that every story will be flawless or that it will meet every family’s individual preferences every time.
- Parents and guardians should review generated stories before or while sharing them with their child.
- AI-generated stories are provided for entertainment and family storytelling purposes only. They are not intended as, and should not be relied upon as, educational, medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice.
- If you come across a story you believe is inappropriate or problematic, please stop using it and report it to us through our Contact page so we can review and improve our systems.
8. User Content and Personalization Information
“User Content” means the information you submit to personalize a story, such as a child’s name, interests, favorite characters, settings, themes, prompts, and other preferences you choose to include.
- You retain ownership of the information you submit as User Content. SnuggyTales does not claim ownership over your personal information.
- By submitting User Content, you grant SnuggyTales a limited, non-exclusive license to use, process, and store that information solely for the purpose of providing, operating, securing, and improving the Service, including generating your personalized stories.
- You agree not to submit User Content that you do not have the right to use, and to avoid submitting sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for story personalization (for example, there is generally no need to include a child’s full legal name, address, or school).
- You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the information you choose to enter.
9. Ownership of Generated Stories
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, you may use the personalized stories generated through your account for your own personal, noncommercial, family use, such as reading them together, saving them, or sharing them privately within your family.
- SnuggyTales retains ownership of the underlying platform, software, story-generation technology, templates, branding, and all other systems used to create and deliver stories.
- Because stories are generated using artificial intelligence based on parameters and preferences, we cannot guarantee that any given story is entirely unique, or that similar themes, phrasing, or elements will never appear in stories generated for other users.
- You may not resell, publish commercially, sublicense, redistribute at scale, or use generated stories to build a competing product or service without our prior written permission.
10. Intellectual Property
SnuggyTales owns or holds licenses to the app, the website, our software and source code, the SnuggyTales brand name, our logos, graphics, interface designs, original marketing content, and all other materials that make up the Service (collectively, “SnuggyTales Materials”). These are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You agree not to copy, reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, reproduce, modify, or otherwise exploit any SnuggyTales Materials except as expressly permitted by these Terms or with our prior written consent.
11. Acceptable Use
When using SnuggyTales, you agree that you will not:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue burden on the app, website, or our servers;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of our software;
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service;
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code;
- Attempt to circumvent free-story limits, subscription requirements, or other usage restrictions;
- Create multiple accounts to avoid payment or repeatedly claim free stories;
- Use the Service to generate abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate content, particularly given that the Service is designed for children;
- Submit personal information about another person without that person’s permission;
- Use generated content to harass, impersonate, deceive, or otherwise harm others; or
- Resell or provide unauthorized third-party access to the Service.
We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination, against anyone who violates this section.
12. App Store Terms
If you access SnuggyTales through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your download, purchase, billing, and related use of the app may also be governed by the applicable app store’s own terms of service. Apple and Google are not responsible for operating or supporting SnuggyTales as a service; they are the platforms through which the app is distributed and, in most cases, through which payments are processed.
Where a conflict exists between these Terms and the applicable app store’s rules with respect to app-store transactions such as billing or refunds, the app store’s rules may control for that specific transaction. You agree to comply with the terms of the app store through which you access SnuggyTales.
13. Third-Party Services
SnuggyTales relies on third-party service providers to help deliver the Service, including for functions such as hosting, authentication, analytics, AI processing, email delivery, crash reporting, and subscription processing through Apple App Store or Google Play. These providers may have their own terms of service and privacy practices governing how they handle information, and we encourage you to review them where relevant. Our use of these providers is described in more detail in our Privacy Policy.
14. Service Availability and Changes
We are always working to improve SnuggyTales, which means the Service may change over time. We may add, update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice. The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, outages, updates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available on an uninterrupted or error-free basis, and features may vary depending on the device or platform you use.
15. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, created a security risk, attempted to circumvent payment, misused the Service, or if required to do so by law.
You may also stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting us through our Contact page. Please note that deleting your SnuggyTales account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; you must cancel that subscription separately through the applicable app store to stop future billing.

Your use of SnuggyTales is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. Please review it carefully.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
SnuggyTales is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the Service will be continuously available, that it will operate without errors, that every generated story will be perfectly accurate or suitable for every family, or that the Service will otherwise meet your specific expectations. We make no warranties, express or implied, beyond those expressly stated in these Terms, except where such warranties cannot be excluded under applicable law.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnuggyTales and its officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the total amount you paid to SnuggyTales for the Service during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires a different standard.
19. Indemnification
You agree to be responsible for, and to indemnify and hold SnuggyTales harmless from, any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, the content you submit, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another person.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection law requires that the laws of your own jurisdiction apply instead.
21. Users Outside the United States
SnuggyTales is based in the United States, but the Service may be used by families around the world. If you access SnuggyTales from outside the United States, you are responsible for complying with the laws applicable in your own location. Nothing in these Terms is intended to override any consumer protection rights you may be entitled to under the laws of your home country.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, legal requirements, or business practices. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the app, our website, or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect will constitute your acceptance of those changes, to the extent permitted by law.
23. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SnuggyTales regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
